What motivated me to start longboard dancing?

One day I was cruising in park with my first board (I didn’t know anything about longboards back then), when a very skilled guy on a longboard almost crashed into me while carving – but of course he had a perfect control over his board 😀 He told me about longboard dancing and it sounded and looked fascinating. Shortly after that he started teaching me (still grateful for that, Teemu!) and here we are!

What’s been my favorite longboard dancing experience thus far?

Name any longboard dancing event! Even our usual sessions here in Helsinki are amazing. But to mention one, it must be SYCLD this year. The atmosphere there was just unbelievable, so much love and support.

What’s my favorite move to do on a longboard?

Cross-foot pivot to no comply! Otherwise I enjoy combining different dance steps, currently practicing everything in fakie.

What cool things do I like to do, other than longboard dancing?

I study plants. I’m also a vocalist in a metal band.
