A word about flow

What motivated me to start longboard dancing?

About 5 years ago I came across the Endless Roads film by Longboard Girls Crew and was completely blown away – I just fell in love with LGC’s mission of creating community and encouraging womxn to empower each other, break stereotypes, and challenge themselves and society. I bought my first longboard almost as soon as I saw the video and it’s been a crazy ride since – this year I was invited by my friend and role model @valeriakechichian to be the ambassador for LGC in Ireland and I couldn’t be happier about this beautiful community we’ve started here.

What’s been my favorite longboard dancing experience thus far.

Joining Valeriya Gogunskaya’s longboard camp in Santa Cruz, Portugal. It was a surreal experience being surrounded by people from all over the world who share this passion for longboarding and spending our days out in the sun together learning from some of the best. @giulia.alfeo and @lgbd_smoothoperator were our instructors for the week and I learned so many new tricks I had to take notes so I wouldn’t forget 🙂 I strongly recommend this camp to anyone who’s interested in longboarding – more details on @longboarding.pt

What’s my favorite move to do on a longboard?

A step I nicknamed “complicated salsa step” which I learned from @lgbd_smoothoperator – it’s basically an 8-step variation of the basic salsa step.

What cool things do I like to do, other than longboard dancing?

I am super passionate about working to empower women and underrepresented minority groups, especially the LGBTQ+ community. I work with Diversity & Inclusion professionally but also dedicate a lot of my personal time to it, so you’ll often find me attending or volunteering at events with the goal of making the world a more open and inclusive place.
